We are currently looking for new members to join our ranks. Please don’t think that you may not have the time to make a commitment. We are like you with responsibilities to families, work, school, etc.:
- If you are 18 and over you can also join as a firefighter and/or EMT, or EMS first responder. If you are 45 years of age and under you can join the NJ State Firemen’s Association. Please click the link to learn more about the benefits of belonging to this organization.
- You will be required to take a physical at a doctor’s office and have a background check.
- If you join EMS, we ask that you be available to respond to calls:
- one night per week, Sunday through Friday between 7:00PM and 5:00AM;
- one Saturday every six weeks, starting 7:00PM until Sunday 5:00AM.
- If you elect to join fire, you will be asked to respond to emergencies when you are aware of them.
- You will be issued all the necessary equipment and training at no cost to you.

You will be asked to come by the firehouse on any Tuesday evening between 6:30PM and 7:00PM for a meeting on how to proceed with the application process, etc. If you you can’t come on a Tuesday evening, just let the vice president know and we can make other arrangements.
